PAT x Ace Hotel

Pied-à-Terre celebrates the next-gen traveller. Embracing those seeking the flexibility of an untethered life. A concept by Ace Hotel, this is the next innovation in modern travel.





Approach
Working with the Atelier Ace (the in-house creative team for Ace Hotel) we helped develop the concept brand for their new extended stay, work-from-anywhere brand, Pied-à-Terre. Targeted at creative professionals and businesses, Pied-à-Terre offers a considered stay experience for a few days, weeks or months.
To link the idea of city and living, we designed an adaptable typographic logo. Extended hyphens alternating around 90 degrees express city blocks, while the typeface references urban living. The tone of voice expresses a confident, cool, well-travelled personality.

To inject the creative spirit of Ace Hotel we created a series of resident characters that reflect the unique personalities of guests and locations. The character’s body uses the French word à with different legs and props bringing each character to life.
